Create a Systematic Invoicing Procedure
Money will always be at the heart of your corporation, more like the fuel inciting the internal fire. Creation is an ongoing process and as artists we find it difficult to stop and invest time towards handling economics (well some of us).
If you have the extra money it may be worthwhile to work with a professional accountant. They can handle much of your taxes and invoicing information from all projects you'd be working on. This would leave your schedule wide open to focus on communications, IM chats, e-mails, and project work.
If you haven't got the money and would rather handle your own finances there are plenty of solutions. It's not as difficult as the suits on Wall St. would make you believe, and with the great accomplishments in Internet technology we have seen tons of new applications flooding the world wide web and many seem to work great. I find it is best to stick with one or two that work for you. Freshbooks is what I currently use and it works great for both invoicing and time management. It is free under 3 clients but well worth checking out.
FreshBooks creates and manages invoices and reports. It also keeps a track on your time and expenses. You can start FreshBooks with a free or limited account or you also have a choice to choose from a number of different options to cater your needs. As far as pricing is concerned then you can manage up to 25 active clients at $19.95 per month which is quite reasonable.

For web designers, typography choices have long been limited to web-safe fonts. But that's changed in recent years, first with the advent of things like sIFR that let you replace standard web fonts with Flash for headlines or other small blocks of text, and now with @font-face and web services for embedding fonts.
